A+E Networks has outsourced compliance, re-versioning and media management services for its UK channels to media services group TVT.
TVT has deployed its ContentSelect platform to orchestrate and track all media workflows including TVT’s specialist compliance viewing and editing service, the company said.
TVT will expand its team to manage A+E’s channels. Its could-based plartform manages media workflows ncluding programme versioning and compliance of commissioned content. TVT will handle both English and Polish original language content for A+E Networks. TVT is also supporting production of all foreign language subtitles and audio files as well as delivering content in multiple formats to the end distribution hubs.
A+E Networks UK operates channels History, Lifetime, Crime + Investigation and H2 across the UK, Scandinavia, Benelux, central and eastern Europe, sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East.
Nicolas Eglau, chief operating officer at A+E Networks UK, said: “TVT is an expert in this field and its ContentSelect platform gives us full management oversight of the compliance, re-versioning and media management workflow. This gives us full confidence that our shows meet the highest standards we require for our brands as well as the technical and operational standards of our broadcast partners. As we continue to grow into new regions, with more channel and new business models, working with trusted partners like TVT is vital to our continued success.”
Separately, Polish cable operator Inea is to add A+E Networks channels History, History HD, H2 HD and Lifetime to its programming line-up.
History will be available in Inea’s standard SD and HD packages and as part of its Super HD offering. Lifetime and H2 HD will be available in the Super HD package.
