Sky Germany taps Accedo for PlayStation streaming

Sky in Germany has worked with TV application specialist Accedo to bring its online TV service, Sky Online, to PlayStation 3 and 4 consoles.

Sky used Accedo XDK, the firm’s cross-platform development toolkit, for the rollout with the app now live on both generations of PlayStation.

“Having launched Sky Online, together with Accedo, on Samsung and LG Smart TVs, as well as the Sky Online TV Box, we are particularly excited to extend the reach of Sky Online to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4,” said Alice Mascia, executive vice-president, Sky Deutschland.
