Advertising mogul Sir Martin Sorrell, CEO of WPP, is to deliver the keynote presentation at this year’s IBC in Amsterdam.

Sorrell will share his views on the trends driving change in media, and with the role of content, data and technology in the 21st century marketplace on Friday September 9.

This year’s IBC conference includes a new stream, Audiences and Advertising, which will seek to explore many of the changes and trends taking place with how people access and consume content and how all that content is paid for.

The conference takes as its theme “Transformation in the Digital Era: Leadership, strategy and creativity in media and entertainment” this year. More than 300 speakers are expected to attend the Conference to share insights on key issues.

WPP is the world’s largest communications services group, with 194,000 staff working across 150 companies in 112 countries.

In addition to advertising and media companies, including Ogilvy & Mather Advertising, Y&R and MediaCom, the company has invested in data analysis and advertising technology through Kantar, to better position WPP with the growing power of Google, Apple, Facebook and Amazon.
