Channel provider SPI International/Filmbox International has secured a deal to launch eight FilmBox branded channels on Continental Digital media Content (CDMC), the DTH and DTT TV service operated by Mwanza, Tanzania-based Sahara Media Group.
In addition to SPI International’s FilmBox movie channels, CDMC subscribers will have access to combat sports channel FightBox HD extreme sports channel Fast&FunBox HD, factual channel DocuBox HD, lifestyle channel FashionBox, music channel 360 TuneBox HD and internactive games and entertainment channel MadscreenBox.
“SPI’s channels are broadcast via ABS-3A, a premium satellite located at the 3° West orbital position. SPI channel portfolio offers top quality entertainment: from all-time movie classics, live martial arts events, extreme sports videos, amazing wild life documentaries, fashion shows to independent music videos and interactive games,” said Amit Karni, SPI International’s head of sales Africa.
“We are glad to partner with Sahara Media Group Ltd and through this new partnership grow our channels’ audience in Tanzania.”
