A French version of Dutch music channel DJAZZ.tv will broadcast in HD via French pay TV operator Free’s triple play Freebox service from this week.
The channel will be included in Freebox’s basic package at position 77 and offer both international and French programming.
DJAZZ.tv, which first launched in 2012 on CanalSat said the rollout marks a “new phase of expansion” for the channel, which has seen an increase in its international distribution since it recent acquisition by Stingray.
The Canadian multi-platform music products and services provider agreed to buy music channels Brava NL, Brava HD and DJAZZ.tv in July. At the time of the transaction, DJAZZ.tv was distributed in 42 countries in Europe, Africa and the Caribbean.
