Vivendi reportedly upping stake in Dailymotion

Vivendi has taken an additional 10% stake in online video site Dailymotion, according to local reports. The move means that Vivendi now holds over 90% of the video sharing site’s capital.

Vivendi initially acquired 80% control of Dailymotion from Orange earlier this year. According to the latest reports, which first appeared in financial daily Les Echos, Vivendi has paid an additional €27 million for the latest increase in its holding, valuing Dailymotion at over €271 million.
