The app, which provides users with the ability to compare odds and place instant bets with bookmakers William Hill, Ladbrokes and Bet365, delivers free access to a video archive of previous races, together with daily news programmes automatically recorded from the At The Races television channel using Simplestream’s Live-2-VOD technology, which creates and publishes video into the app immediately after broadcast.
The archive includes over 2,000 race clips. Video content can be viewed over WiFi, 3G and 4G networks.
“We are absolutely delighted to take the At The Races service to the next level with the release of this free app. Its distinct and easy to use features set it apart from its rivals and the app stays true to our three watchwords: content, speed and reliability. We are relishing the prospect of bringing you closer than ever to racing, all accessible at the touch of a button. With two million TV viewers and now more than two and a half million website users each month in the UK and Ireland, we are now broadening our service to an even wider audience, which is incredibly exciting,” said Matthew Imi, CEO, At The Races.
“Having provided video streaming services to At The Races for many years it is incredibly satisfying to see that the solutions we provide continue to be industry leading. The 5 star reviews speak for themselves. We look forward to working with Matthew and his team to deliver further innovation in the mobile video betting space,” said Adam Smith, CEO and founder, Simplestream.
