NTV+ secures Russian football, plans 4K launch

Russian pay TV service NTV+ has secured rights to show Russian premier league football for the 2015-18 seasons.

Matches from the Russian championship will be shown on NTV+’s Our Football and Sport+ channels.

NTV+ CEO Alexander Vronsky said that the broadcaster plans to to include live broadcasts of Russian football in 4K by the end of this year. Vronsky also said that the broadcaster will launch a second-screen app to expand its audience.
