UPC Poland expands to Rzeszów

Liberty Global-owned cable operator UPC Poland has extended its network to the city of Rzeszów in south-eastern Poland, where it will open its first sales point-of-presence on August 17.

UPC will offer its full range of services in the city, including its Horizon advanced TV offering, broadband internet up to 250Mbps and telephony.

The latest expansion means that UPC’s network now reaches over 2.7 million households across the country.

Jerzy Gołębiowski, UPC board member responsible for development, said that UPC had targeted Rzeszów for expansion because it was a dynamic city with higher than average investment per capita.
