Former SFR CEO Jean-Yves Charlier is to replace Jo Lunder as CEO of Russian service provider VimpelCom.

Lunder is leaving the post for personal reasons, according to local reports. However, VimpelCom’s operational and financial performance has been subject to criticism over the past couple of years. The company posted significant losses and a dip in revenue last year.

Charlier departed SFR following its acquisition by Altice and Numericable.

Lunder, who joined VimpelCom in 1999 and has served as CEO since 2011, will continue in an advisory role until July.
