UK commercial broadcaster UKTV has launched its TV catch-up application, UKTV Play, on Android devices.
The app lets users watch shows from UKTV-owned channels like Dave, Really and Yesterday anywhere, at any time.
UKTV Play first launched last year on iOS devices, went live on PCs and the YouView platform in November and launched this month on Virgin On Demand.
“We created UKTV Play so that viewers can watch UKTV’s great shows anytime, anywhere. When we launched UKTV Play on iOS last year, Apple chose to feature it as one of their ‘Best New Apps’, which is testament to its popularity, design and functionality. I feel confident the millions of people with Android devices are going to really love it too,” said UKTV’s director, commercial and business development, Dan Fahy.
