Liberty Global-owned cable operator UPC Poland has launched the full Horizon advanced TV platform, with a DVR-enabled, internet-connected set-top.
The launch follows a trial amongst a group of selected customers in December. The platform is now commercially available, offering the ability to record up to four programmes at once and remote recording via the Horizon Go application, as well as access on TV screens to social media sites including Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.
The platform will be available as part of the Horizon Select package from PLN149 a month (€35), including internet acces at speeds of up to 120Mbps and access to the MyPrime on-demand service. Triple-play packages start from PLN159. UPC Poland is offering the service at a 50% discount for a promotional period.
UPC Poland had had previously launched the Horizon Go mobile TV version of the platform.
