UK media and telecoms regulator Ofcom has named Jonathan Oxley as its new group director for competition.
Oxley will take up his post in November and will join Ofcom’s board from January 2015. He is currently a partner in PwC’s strategy and economics practice, specialising in telecoms, media and technology, and has also worked for BT and Verizon-owned Metropolitan Fibre Systems.
“Ofcom has a vital role to play in overseeing competition in the UK communications market. I’m joining at an exciting time in the development of the sector and look forward to leading Ofcom’s competition work,” said Oxley.
