Telecom Italia Media has changed the name of its Cubovision OTT TV offering to TIMvision.
The branding is effective immediately on smartphones and tablets, and Telecom Italia Media plans to introduce it later for the offering on smart TVs, PCs and streaming media devices.
Telecom Italia Media also plans to strengthen the contention the OTT service with the addition of new sports content , movies and TV series. The service is currently airing the sixth season of US series Mad Men, marking the first time a top-tier show has debuted on-demand rather than on a linear channel.
The telco’s media arm has also integrated the offering into its TIM 4G portfolio.
