Vodafone and Kabel Deutschland begin marketing common offerings

KDG logo on wallVodafone Deutschland and its cable subsidiary Kabel Deutschland are to offer their first joint product offerings.

The pair have begun jointly marketing services under the new Zuhause Plus/Home Plus brand via Vodafone’s network of 600 stores and Kabel Deutschland’s network of 200 outlets, enabling fixed customers of both to buy internet, phone and TV services via either cable or DSL from a single source.

Customers can buy a dual-play package of phone and internet services from €9.90, with internet speeds of up to 100Mbps available over the Kabel Deutschland fibre network. A 50Mbps internat and phone service is available over Vodafone’s VDSL network for €19.95, and customers that wish to switch to the cable version, where available, will be presented with a range of offers.

Vodafone and Kabel Deutschland said that 40% of all households served by the two companies already have access to 25Mbps. Kabel Deutschland CEO Manuel Cubero said that the company’s goal was to make 100Mbps the new standard for all, whether customers access the network via cable, DSL or LTE.
