Content security provider Verimatrix has named chief sales and marketing officer Steve Oetegenn as the company’s new president.
According to Verimatrix, the appointment will enable Oetegenn to play a more strategic role in its continued growth as more large digital video operators are transitioning to an IP-centric network infrastructure.
As president, he will also continue to lead Verimatrix’s sales and marketing efforts.
Prior to joining Verimatrix, Oetegenn served as chief operating officer at Argus Systems Group, a provider of internet server security software, and CEO of business messaging specialist DCE Communication.
“Steve’s enhanced role at Verimatrix is the logical progression of our strategic business development initiatives, as he has played a central role in establishing our strong market presence and reputation for the last 10 years,” said Tom Munro, CEO of Verimatrix.
“Our vision of revenue security within the software-empowered video operator model requires a more sophisticated approach to the market and our customers. Steve is the ideal person to lead this effort.”
