Russian cable operator Akado has placed an order for EuroDOCSIS 3.0 customer premises equipment with France’s Sagemcom.
Akado said it had ordered over 30,000 EuroDOCSIS 3.0-enabled WiFi routers from the French manufacturer, to be delivered by June this year, with the first batch of 4,000 units already having been delivered.
The operator said the equipment supported both IPv4 and IPv6 and provided a powerful platform to create a Gigabit home network capable of connecting multiple devices over 802.11b/g/n WiFi.
