3D channel High TV 3D has begun broadcasting on the Hispasat satellite platform at 30° West.
Hispasat will broadcast High TV 3D across Europe from its Hispasat 1E satellite in partnership with media services provider Telefónica Servicios Audiovisuales.
Hispasat said it and High TV 3D are also exploring opportunities to distribute 4K TV content. Hispasat already airs its own demonstration channel, Hispasat 4K, which was launched at IBC last year.
Hispasat has in recent months been focusing more actively on the TV distribution business, marketing the 30° West position to its client base of content providers, teleports and TV operators.
