Fox International Channels has extended its presence in France and Ireland with launches on the Freebox platform in France and UPC Ireland’s cable network.
In France, Fox has launched National Geographic Channel, Nat Geo Wild and Voyage on Iliad Telecom’s Free platform.
“These three new prestigious channels available for all our TV subscribers are strengthening the attractiveness of the Freebox TV offer,” said Maxime Lombardini, managing director of Iliad Telecom.
The three channels are already distributed in France on the Canalsat and Numericable platforms.
In Ireland, Fox has launched Fox+1 and Fox HD on Liberty Global-owned UPC Ireland’s Horizon TV service.
Both channels are available to all existing UPC Select Extra and Max customers. This week the channel will debut Frank Darabont gangster drama Mob City and mini-series The Spoils of Babylon.
