Netflix is reportedly testing a new low-cost price tier in the US, which will allow users pay less to access the video-on-demand service in standard definition from just one screen at a time.
According to stateside reports, Netflix is trialling the new US$6.99 (€5.13) option alongside existing US$7.99 and US$11.99 per-month price options – which allow viewers to access the service on two or four screens at the same time in standard or high definition.
In Europe, Netflix currently offers flat-rate prices, though recently started to allow different members of the same household to set-up up to five separate user profiles on the same account.
