Spacecom puts itself up for sale

Spacecom, the Israeli operator of the Amos fleet of satellites, has put itself up for sale, according to a filing with the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.

The firm said in the statement that its board was exploring the possibility of a merger or acquisition and is currently seeking advice from an unnamed “international investment bank.”

However, Spacecom stressed that the process was in “very early stages” and that “there is no certainty” at this point that a transaction will take place.
