Danish cable operator YouSee has struck a deal with broadcaster Modern Times Group (MTG) to provide TV3’s sports channels on an à la carte basis.
YouSee will offer three TV3 channels from Viasat – TV3+ and TV3 Sports 1 and 2 – as part of its à la carte offering.
YouSee chief Mathias Berg said the deal represented an “important step” for the company as it seeks to expand its à la carte tier. He said YouSee customers now had the ability to buy individually all the channels not included in its basic mandatory package.
Since July 1, YouSee customers have been able to buy channels on top of the basic pack individually, whereas previously they had to purchase at least four services. Customers can change their selection each month.
TV3+ and TV3 Sport 1 are available for DKK50 (€6.70) a month, while TV3 Sport 2 is available for DKK30.
