Russian broadcasting infrastructure provider RTRS has selected the system integrators that will be responsible for building the country’s second digital-terrestrial multiplex.
The winning bidders in the tender process were TD Svyaz Engineering, NPP Triada-TV, TekhnoServ AS, Rossiyskiy Institut Moshchnogo Radiostroyeniya, Almaz-Antey Telekommunikatsii, Moshchnaya Apparatura Radiovesshchaniya I Televideniya, Telekom-Proyekt-5 and Soyuz-Telefonstroy.
TD Svyaz Engineering will act as the lead integrator on the project, with a RUB14.5 billion contract to supply engineering services and equipment.
RTRS plans to construct a DVB-T2-based network based on 4,956 sites.
