Online video delivery firm Ooyala has launched a new personalised discovery guide that combines scheduled linear and on-demand content.
Ooyala Discovery Guide is an update to the VOD recommendation tool it launched last year, now also including live content, meaning that it can offer viewers a wider range of related video.
Ooyala, which offers cross-platform video delivery and analytics, also lets viewers set up personal watch-later queue of on-demand and live content, which they can access across different devices.
“Just as traditional TV has moved from appointment viewing to time-shifted, on-demand watching, the programming guide needs to evolve from a hard to navigate grid to a more personalised, intelligent discovery engine,” said Ooyala.
