Russian service provider Rostelecom now has 1.5 million customers to its interactive TV service, a 102% increase year-on-year.
Rostelecom offers a range of about 190 channels on its IPTV platform, with a number of channels also available free-to-view on the Zabava.ru portal. Rostelecom recently boosted the number of HD services it offered to 19 and added four-channel premium service Viasat Premium HD to its line-up.
In addition to TV channels, the Zabava.ru portal offers a catalogue of over one million music tracks, 8,000 games and over 60,000 e-books. A subscription games and music service is available for RUB99 (€2.50) a month.
