UPC Cablecom to launch HbbTV services

Swiss cable operator UPC Cablecom is launching services based on the HbbTV interactive TV standard.

The operator will introduce HbbTV gradually from January to its French, German and Italian speaking customers.
Subscribers will need a DigiCard or a connected TV connected to the internet. Viewers will be able to navigate through the HbbTV menus for the individual channels using the coloured buttons, number keys and arrow keys on the remote control.
