Tesco-owned digital platform Blinkbox is aggressively moving into the kids space with a raft of deals with distributors including eOne, Aardman, Lionsgate and Cookie Jar.
The subscription-free streaming service has picked up rights to series including eOne’s Peppa Pig, Aardman’s Shaun The Sheep, Cookie Jar’s The Adventures of Paddington Bear and Johnny Test and Lionsgate’s Poppy Cat.
Blinkbox is currently available online as well as through a number of devices including the Xbox360 and PS3 games consoles, tablets and smart devices.
Michael Comish, CEO, Tesco Digital Entertainment, said: “We are thrilled to have some of the hottest children’s programmes on blinkbox, especially as we head into the holidays. This is good news for kids and parents alike.”
