Sky Deutschland is preparing to roll out an enhanced second screen EPG designed to make it easier to find and record content.
The Sky Guide will include one touch recording functionality, enabling users to record content on Sky Plus boxes remotely. Users will also be able to use the guide to purchase pay-per-view content from the Sky Anytime service. The search section will display linear, on-demand and recorded content in separate sections, while users will be able to add reminders about upcoming content in the ‘watch list’ section.
The Sky Guide will also integrate with various social networks including Twitter and Facebook, enabling users to like and share content.
“We are aiming to make it really simple to spend less time searching and more time watching content,” said Peter Schultz, vice-president, on-demand programming at Sky Deutschland.
