Sony Turbo makes Russian debut

Sony’s male-skewed entertainment channel Sony Turbo has launched in Russia on pay TV operator Akado’s network.

The channel airs popular US series including Dexter, CSI and Seinfeld. It is available to Akado’s customers in Moscow and forms part of the operator’s Social TV package.

“We are pleased to be the first operator in Russia to offer such an interesting and in-demand international entertainment channel,” said Sergey Nazarov, vice-president of business operations at Akado. “With the launch of Sony Turbo, we set out to fill a gap that exists in the Russian cable TV market for the male audience.”
