VimpelCom upgrades IPTV platform

Russian service provider VimpelCom, which operates under the Beeline brand, has upgraded its IPTV platform to Microsoft Mediaroom version 2.0.

The upgrade will allow the operator to speed the search of video-on-demand titles and implement additional interactive features. Timur Alyautdinov, director of broadband and digital TV at VimpelCom, said the upgrade would allow the company to introduce additional OTT services.
