Ziggo launches music streaming service

Dutch cable operator Ziggo has launched a new streaming music service, Ziggo Music.

The service comes in two flavours: Ziggo Muziek offers in-home music for €4.95 a month, while Ziggo Muziek Overal allows users to access the service at any location for €9.95. Ziggo Muziek Overal also allows users to store music, enabling them to listen to tracks without an internet connection.

The service will focus on meeting specifically Dutch tastes and will feature playlists from performances at the Ziggo Dome and Club Ziggo. Voice of Holland winner Ben Saundershet’s album Heart & Soul will also be made available to Ziggo Muziek subscribers a day ahead of its September 7 launch.
