Latvian telco Lattelecom has launched a 3D movie service.
Movies including Step Up, and Resident Evil: Afterlife are available 3D on-demand for LTV2.10 (€3) per title for 24 hours. Initially the movies are available in their original language but Lattelecom said it planned to offer Latvian and Russian language tracks in the future.
The VOD service is available to customers with a 3D TV and broadband connection of at least 8Mbps.
Lattelecom began trialling 3D TV in 2010 when it broadcast coverage of the French Open tennis tournament in 3D.
