Swedish cable operator Com Hem’s digital TV subscriber base grew by 6% to 658,400 in 2011, while broadband customers grew by 3% to 550,900. Com Hem’s telephony base grew by 2% to 376,000.
Releasing full-year results, Com Hem said its turnover for the year was just over SEK4.5 billion (€512 million), an increase of about 5%. Operating profit grew by 13% to SEK2.1 billion.
The company offered its 200Mbps internet and video-on-demand services to 1.6 million households at the end of last year. Com Hem also offered 21 HD channels on its TV service.
Infrastructure investment by the company grew to SEK734 million for the year, during which Com Hem completed the upgrade of its network in the Stockholm area at a cost of SEK100 million. The company also opened a new customer service centre in Ornskoldsvik in November.
