CNBC appoints commercial chief

Business broadcaster CNBC has appointed Anthony Lilleyman to the newly created role of vice-president commercial, EMEA.

Lilleyman will have responsibility for growing the distribution of the channel, including carriage agreements, commercial licences; managing CNBC’s local affiliate networks; content syndication and business development across the region.

Advertising revenues will fall under a newly created role of vice-president, advertising sales for CNBC International, which CNBC is current looking to fill.

Lilleyman was previously chief financial officer for CNBC in EMEA.

Satpal Brainch, president and managing director of CNBC International said, “Anthony’s appointment brings together all of our non-advertising revenue generating parts of the business under one function.  His strategic focus and international experience will help drive growth for CNBC and our partners across the region.”
