Interactive TV technology provider Rovi’s TotalGuide solution has launched on Panasonic’s 2012 Smart TVs and Blu-ray recorders for the European market.
Panasonic’s Viera Connect platform on these devices features a customised implementation of TotalGuide for finding and discovering broadcast TV programmes through advanced search and recommendations, rich TV listings and images. TotalGuide enables access to linear broadcast content, internet-based content including pay-per-view, video-on-demand, photos and music services.
“We continue to expand our range of applications available to enhance the consumer experience on Viera Connect,” said Fabien Roth, director TV group, Panasonic Marketing Europe. “Through our collaboration with Rovi, we are able to offer an advanced guide application that makes navigation easy and intuitive – enabling viewers to further enjoy our excellent range of Smart Viera TVs.”
