The launch follows a pilot phase and Voddler is now open to all, offering movies from Hollywood studios and various broadcasters. Spain is the first country outside Scandinavia to get the service that has already launched in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland.
Voddler titles can be viewed on computers and various connected devices including smartphones.
Since launching in Sweden two years ago, Voddler has gathered over 1.3 million registered users.
“Spain was an obvious choice for us as our first market outside of our home market of Scandinavia. It is a country of movie lovers, with good broadband penetration and an audience that is increasingly turning online,” said Marcus Bäcklund, Voddler’s CEO.
