Red Bee selected by NHK’s JSTV

Broadcast services company Red Bee Media has been selected to provide HD enabled post-production, media management and broadcast services for NHK’s JSTV channel portfolio in Europe, Russia, the Middle East and north Africa.

The JSTV channels broadcast various Japanese language programming, including NHK News, documentaries, drama, animation, sport and entertainment shows from Japanese commercial broadcasters. The channels are available in over 70 countries via Eutelsat’s Hotbird 6 as a DTH service as well as a number of cable and IPTV operators.

The channels are operated by NHK CosmoMedia Europe, a subsidiary of NHK Enterprises, the commercial arm of Japan’s largest public broadcaster, NHK.
