ThePlatform appoints McGrath to head European push

Comcast-backed multi-platform video technology company thePlatform has named Simon McGrath as its general manager for Europe, and Darren Grimstead as director of European sales.

McGrath, the former chief marketing officer and commercial director of EMEA at SeaChange International and deputy CEO and director of strategy, development and technology of SeaChange subsidiary On Demand Group, will report to thePlatform’s CEO Ian Blaine. 

Grimstead has spent the last eight years leading thePlatform’s media and entertainment sales channel as director, media and entertainment sales.
Both McGrath and Grimstead will be based in London.
