Karen Bronzo promoted to EVP marketing at HGTV

Discovery’s HGTV has confirmed the promotion of Karen Bronzo to the role of SVP marketing.

This expands her current responsibilities to include oversight of brand strategy and development of on-air/off-channel creative for the network.

Bronzo joined HGTV in 2013 as VP ad sales marketing. In this new role she will report directly to Jane Latman, president and will supervise marketing professionals in the company’s New York City and Knoxville, Tennessee offices.

Latman said: “Karen is a seasoned senior leader with extensive experience in media, marketing and business development. Our ongoing success depends on breakthrough content and talent and on how effectively we promote those to new audiences.

“From establishing brand strategy to driving ad sales partnerships and developing unique experiential marketing opportunities, Karen’s deep experience leading brand teams – both from the client and agency perspective – is a huge asset for us. Her leadership on the marketing side is a big part of HGTV’s growth strategy.”

Prior to joining HGTV, Karen was at LeadDog Marketing Group as SVP of business development and account strategy. She also spent eight years at Oxygen Media, leading both the consumer and ad sales marketing teams.
