History Channel Iberia names new managing director

The History Channel Iberia, the joint venture between Chello Multicanal and A+E Networks, has hired former NBC Universal executive Carolina Godayol as managing director.

Godayol was previously managing director, Iberia, NBC Universal Global Networks, where she oversaw channels including Sci-fi and Calle 13. She will be in charge of day to day operations of the broadcaster’s suite of channels including History, Bio and Crime & Investigation across Spain and Portugal. She will report to the The History Channel board of directors and will work closely with Dean Possenniskie, managing director, Europe, A+E Networks and Eduardo Zulueta, managing director, Chello Multicanal.
