Sky appoints director of 3D

UK pay TV operator BSkyB has appointed John Cassy to the newly created role of director of Sky 3D. He will be replaced as director of Sky Arts by James Hunt.

Sky said the new role had been created to build on its plans to expand its 3D offering across film, live sports, factual, music, kids and event entertainment programming. Cassy will commission and acquire domestic and international 3D TV content.

Cassy will be replaced by James Hunt, who has been promoted from head of programming Sky Arts to director of Sky Arts. He will oversee the expansion of the Sky Arts brand.
