Littleford to head up global iPlayer team

Matthew Littleford, who was previously controller of British thematic channel operator UKTV, is to head the team at BBC Worldwide to launch online video service iPlayer internationally.

Littleford announced that he was leaving UKTV, the joint venture between the commercial arm of the British public broadcaster and Virgin Media, last month. He will now become creative director of the global iPlayer and will report to BBC Worldwide president of worldwide networks and global iPlayer Jana Bennett.
