Modern Times Group (MTG) has named Svetlana Vassileva as CEO of its TV channels in Bulgaria.
Vassileva will head up Nova Televizia, the Diema channel family and Nova Sport as well as MTGs four pay-TV channels in the country. She will succeed Jacob Andersson, who has been CEO of Diema Vision since April 2008 and also of Nova Televizia since MTG completed the acquisition of the company in October 2008. Jacob Andersson, who has worked within MTG since 2005, will continue in a new position in the company.
Vassileva will join MTG on November 15 before taking up her new role on January 1, was previously executive director of commercial channel TV7, and has also served as station manager of bTV and general manager of Fox International Channels in Bulgaria.
