Lagardère poaches Disney’s Villeneuve for channels role

Antoine Villeneuve, 48, has been appointed Lagardère Active Managing Director for TV Channels, France and International. He was formerly managing director and senior vice-president, Walt Disney Television India. He succeeds to Emmanuelle Guilbart who recently left Lagardère for public broadcaster France Télévisions.

Villeneuve will be in charge of the consolidation and growth of Lagardère Active TV channels, which comprise the Tiji, Canal J, Gulli, June, Mezzo and MCM brands, in France and of the development of the brands internationally. He will also have to diversify the sources of revenues and develop licensing and merchandising activity, through newly created division Lagardère Active Licences.
