Disney to leave News Corp

Anthea Disney will leave News Corp at the end of the year. Disney is vice-president for content at News and a member of the companies Worldwide Executive Management Committee. She said she will work with her recently established NGO Women’s Enterprise Initiative after leaving News. Disney was chairman of Gemstar-TV Guide International until its sale to Rovi, then called Macrovision, in 2008.

News Corp chairman Rupert Murdoch said: “She has impeccable judgement and taste and I have relied on her counsel across just about all of our content businesses.”
