Viaccess hacker lawsuit leads to arrests

Conditional access company Viaccess has announced that 26 people have been arrested in France on suspicion of hacking several operators, including Canal Plus. Viaccess said it filed a lawsuit against the parties after it had worked with French cyber police to find the suspects by tracking their IP addresses.

Private signs IPTV deal with Virginmega

Adult video distributor Private Media Group has signed a content deal with French internet portal Virginmega.fr and its IPTV operator partner.  While Private didn’t reveal the identity of the operator, it said its content is now available in 18 European counties via 35 IPTV operators with a combined subscriber base of 7.3 million.
