Kabel Deutschland launches DVR on the go

German cable operator Kabel Deutschland (KDG) has launched a remote recording service, enabling subscribers to schedule DVR recordings via the internet. The service currently enables PC users to schedule recordings remotely. KDG plans to launch a version for iOS and Android mobile devices towards the end of May.

TiVo’s European business helped the DVR specialist add subscribers and turn loss into profit during its latest fiscal year. EBU-backed social network pilot goes live

An EBU-backed pilot that uses social networks to allow TV viewers to choose broadcasters’ schedules has launched in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Slovenia.
