Amino growth continues as Telecom Italia places order

IPTV set-top vendor Amino has reported strong first-half results, with an increase in shipments and revenues.

The company posted first half revenues of £24.7 million (€28 million), up 36.2% year-on-year. That growth followed a 23% increase in shipments to 298,000 shipments.

The company has also announced that Telecom Italia has placed a third order for hybrid set-top boxes to support its Cubovision DTT/OTT platform.

Keith Todd, Amino’s non-executive chairman, said: “The strength of our core IPTV product range – with over 200 operators deploying or trialling our new set-top boxes in the key North American market – is increasingly being complemented by traction we are seeing in the emerging OTT market. As evidence of this traction, I am pleased to announce today a third order from Telecom Italia to support its on-going Cubovision service rollout.”
