Netgem.tv races past quarter of a million homes in the UK

Netgem.tv reports this week that it has expanded its reach across 12 Ultrafast Fibre providers in the UK. According to the company, this means its TV & Streaming service is now available to more than a quarter of a million of the UK homes – complementing their access to gigabit-enabled fibre broadband.

This distribution acceleration comes a couple of weeks after the addition of Premier Sports channels to the netgem.tv premium content line up, which management says “confirms the appetite from viewers and operators for a skinny bundle entertainment package”. At time of writing, netgem.tv’s library incorporates 100 live TV channels including the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 as well as a Freeview Play catch-up including 20,000+ hours of content. In addition, netgem.tv gives access to streaming services including Amazon Prime Video, hayu, Rakuten TV and YouTube
