Dutch municipality gets 200Mbps internet

The municipality of Zeewolde in Flevoland has become the first in the Netherlands to get a bi-directional 200Mbps internet service, delivered via fibre, according to local reports.

The fibre network, provided by Reggefiber, the joint venture backed by KPN, is delivering a 200Mbps service for €80 a month. Fibre faces competition in the area from cable operator UPC.
